Standing On Your Convictions

Miss California produced a controversial moment
in this year's Miss USA Contest,
when questioned about gay marriages.

"We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,
" Miss Carrie Prejean said...
"And you know what, I think in my country, in my family,
I think that I believe that a marriage,
should be between a man and a woman.
No offence to anybody out there,
but that's how I was raised."

Some in the audience cheered, others booed.

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me
before it hated you.
John 15:18

  1. It seems that some people believe that if it's politically correct than it's also morally right. I read a statement somewhere that I like that says, just because it's politically correct doesn't make it truth.
I think I'll stand on the "Rock" and continue to be politically incorrect.

  2. Robin...
Keep standing and don't ever allow anyone or anything push you off that "Rock".

  3. Matthew 6:19-21: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

This ladies testimony shows where her heart is. She has forfeited her earthly crown and has stored up for herself the eternal crown she will receive after she is ushered into heaven and into the presence of her Lord and Savior. May we all be blessed for her courageous stand for speaking for the truth of God.
